State Reports One New COVID-19 Death in Hopkins County. New Cases Reported by County on September 4th, 2020.

Hopkins County Emergency Management announced three new cases of COVID-19 in Hopkins County at 4:15 pm today.

There are now 50 active cases in Hopkins County and 202 patients are listed as recovered.
Three patients are currently hospitalized in the COVID-19 unit at CHRISTUS Mother Frances-Sulphur Springs.
The state dashboard added one new death to the COVID-19 dashboard on Thursday. There are now 8 deaths reported by the state.
615 tests have been completed at Hopkins County Civic Center as of 5pm on Thursday. Next week, COVID testing will resume September 7-9, 2020 and September 11-12, 2020, at the Hopkins County Civic Center.

The county also reported on the Antigen tests that have returned positive locally. The state does not include Antigen tests in their numbers. There have been 29 positive antigen tests from testing facilities within Hopkins County since August
27, 2020.  *These reflect Hopkins County residents only, will be reported weekly, will not count towards state numbers, and will not be shown as “recovered.”
