Funeral services for Travis Hooten, age 77, of Mahoney, will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Rev. C.J. Duffey officiating. Internment will take place at Old Tarrant Cemetery following the services with Jay Butler, Gerald Holland, Troy Cotten, Jamie Jordan, Timmy Cotten, Mike Hooten, and Jamie Fite serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 P.M on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.  Travis passed away on August 31, 2020 at his residence in Mahoney, TX.

Travis Hooten was born on July 1, 1943 in Sulphur Springs, TX to Jesse and Vera Hooten. He married Tresia Hatley in Sulphur Springs, TX on April 25, 1986. He worked as a truck driver and a member of the Baptist religion.

He is survived by his wife, Tresia Hooten of Mahoney, TX; daughters, Doriece Boyd and husband, Landon of Wylie, TX and Lisa Reed of Mahoney, TX; sons, Robert Dale Hooten and wife, Kristi of Mahoney, TX and Kenney Self, Jr of Mahoney, TX; grandchildren, Lexi Hooten, Raven Hooten, Trenton Dodd, Chelsea Boyd, Brennen Boyd, Latham Boyd, Legend Boyd, William Reed, Sr., Patricia Reed, Jackie Wooten, Destanie Walls, and Bubba Fields; great great grandchildren, Canyon Dodd, Penelope Boyd, Lincoln Boyd, William ( Peanut ) Reed, Brooklynn Reed, Rylee Bennett, Coleson Bennett, and Jaleigh Bennett; siblings, William Hooten and wife, Donna, Freddy Hooten and wife, Brenda, and Mary Beatles and husband, Gene.

Travis is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, J.D. Hooten, Delbert Hooten, and Melvin Hooten; sons, Weldon Hooten and Patrick Perkins.
