SSPD Special Crimes Unit Investigation Into Narcotics Distribution Results in Arrest of 24 Year Old Sulphur Springs Man

A 24 year old Sulphur Springs man was arrested yesterday on Carter St after a Sulphur Springs Police Department-Special Crimes Unit investigation into the distribution of narcotics.

SCU purchased narcotics from Jackson Blaze Gilreath on multiple occassions, according to arrest reports. SSPD then obtained two warrants for Gilreath’s arrest for Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
SCU served the warrant on Gilreath Tuesday night and arrested him on the above charges. Gilreath allegedly attempted to discard a syringe and a hide-a-key box containing narcotics during the course of the arrest which resulted in additional charges for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
Gilreath is currently held at Hopkins County Jail on the above charges.
