Isaiah 52:14
As many were astonished at you—his appearance was so marred, beyond human semblance, and his form beyond that of the children of mankind.

By and large, in the Church today, there has been a disassociation with the Blood of Jesus. While it’s true that the account of the crucifixion is horrible and gruesome, it’s vital that the Church never fail to recognize the importance and significance of every aspect of it. Jesus wasn’t just beaten up, He was beaten to the point of being unrecognizable as a human according to the prophet Isaiah. His blood left a trail from the Garden to Golgotha where He gave up His life. Every drop of blood that He shed was for your redemption and should have been yours. The truth of the matter was that your blood was tainted by sin and His was pure. When you hear phrases like, ‘His blood was spilled’, implying that what happened that day was an accident, it puts less significance on His sacrifice. He bled externally, internally, and intentionally. Every ounce containing the power to redeem you from the sin that was destroying and separating you from the Father. So while talking about it or studying it may not be pleasant, walking through that ordeal the way Jesus did wasn’t either. But He did it because you were too valuable to Him to lose to hell. It’s the Blood that secured your eternal place in His Kingdom and according to the Book of Hebrews, it still speaks on your behalf today. The wrath of God was satisfied on that horrible yet victorious day because your Savior chose to walk through hell on earth to impute His righteousness into your life. Refuse to let His sacrifice become common place in your life. Make much of the Blood, it’s your only hope of a victorious life…not just in Heaven someday but here on the earth as well. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff
