Wednesday, June 3

Acts 1:4-5 – And while staying with them he ordered them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, he said, “you heard from me; for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.

The Word without the Holy Spirit is information. The Word with the Holy Spirit is inspiration.
God, the Holy Spirit wants to have encounters with you. God provides power, direction, wisdom, and knowledge through the Holy Spirit that is timely, relevant, and pertinent. Quiet times of being still, listening, and waiting ushers in the power of the Holy Spirit.

 Holy Spirit gives boldness, stirs up our faith, and activates miracles.
 Holy Spirit helps us pray, shows us the way to walk in holiness, and reveals Jesus.
 Holy Spirit breaks bondages and addictions.
 Holy Spirit takes information to revelation then transformation.
 Holy Spirit opens the hearts of sinners and delivers the captives.
 Holy Spirit anoints and appoints us.
 Holy Spirit stirs up the love of God and purifies us.
 Holy Spirit is the very presence of the Father.
 Holy Spirit is Jesus in The Word.
 Holy Spirit knows the words to speak when we do not know what to share.
 Holy Spirit equips the body of Christ to be overcomers walking in power and authority.
 Holy Spirit says nothing apart from what God says.
 Holy Spirit gives the specific will for our individual lives.
 Holy Spirit is within you to lead and guide you into all truth.

With love and prayers,
Pastor Sherry C.
