Hopkins County has a 10th and 11th confirmed case of COVID-19 to go along with the 9th case that was reported earlier today, according to Hopkins County Judge Robert Newsom at approximately 8:40 pm. These are the first confirmed cases in Hopkins County since May 10th.

The patients are self-isolating at home and receiving treatment. No other information is known at this time. The Local Health Authority will begin to obtain as much information as possible to protect our community, according to HCEM.

There are 6 active cases of COVID-19 in Hopkins County. Five of the previous cases are listed as recovered.

Hopkins County Emergency Management said that 107 cases were performed at the state’s free testing set-up at Hopkins County Civic Center on Friday. Those results have not come in yet and none of the positive tests reported today are from that testing, according to HCEM.
