Daily Devotional from The Way Bible Church for May 13th, 2020

If you were ask the average Christian what the anointing of God was for the overwhelming majority would tell you it was for doing ‘big’ things like healing people, or casting out demons, or even raising the dead. According to today’s text, the Bible says that Jesus was anointed to do good before there is any mention of healing or other such miracle. Jesus understood a very important principle…that practice action will open the door for a spiritual connection. Think about how He lived His life. He changed water to wine, He fed multitudes, He showed kindness to those who were being cruelly judged by religious people. He knew that God was with Him whether He was simply walking down the street or preaching to the masses. Everything He did was anointed because everything He did was with God. He died so you could have that same relationship with God and walk in the same anointing He did. When you get revelation this, you will understand just how powerful and impactful every word you speak is, how life changing a simple pat on the pack can be or that timely note sent in the mail to someone who the Lord lays on your heart can turn someone’s week around.
