Philippians 1:12-13
12 I want you to know, brothers, that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel, 13 so that it has become known throughout the whole imperial guard and to all the rest that my imprisonment is for Christ.

Perspective is everything. As a believer you must train yourself to seek God’s perspective on everything. Look at what Paul was dealing with. He had been put in jail for doing the very thing God had called him to do. In this situation, most Christians would have thrown a pity party and blamed God for not delivering them from those bad people who locked them up, but not Paul. He chose to seek God’s perspective and interpretation of the situation. Rather than folding his arms across his chest and pouting, He began to write down the message God had given Him. The fact that He couldn’t preach it in front of a crowd wasn’t going to keep it from going forth. Not once does Paul say that God put him in jail, He simply had the mindset that God’s Word would go forth no matter what, and by any means necessary. Spreading the message took priority to the method. Think about that for a moment…2/3’s of the New Testament would have never been written if Paul would’ve chosen to see things from his point of view rather than from God’s perspective. The very letters he wrote from prison became what are referred to as the Pauline Epistles. Your situation is never the same as the interpretation. If you’ll allow God to continue working, He will turn your problem into a pathway that leads you to your new position. You simply need to see things from His perspective and continue walking out the assignment He has given you. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff
