Bond Set at $200,000 for Skate Park Shooting Suspect

by Front Porch News

Bond has been set at $200,000 for the suspect in Sunday’s shooting at Buford Park’s Skate Park.

SSPD arrested 17 year old Justin Quentil Richards yesterday in connection with the shooting.

The dispute that led to the shooting was between Richards and a person other than the victim, according to Chief Ricketson.

The victim suffered a single gunshot wound and was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle by his friends. The victim is currently in good condition and has been released from the hospital.

The suspect vehicles in the shooting fled the scene of the crime. SSPD immediately began working to identify the vehicles and locate the shooter.

Richards is held at Hopkins County Jail on one charge of Aggravated Assault Causing Serious Bodily Injury.
