Hopkins County Dairy Festival Parade, Milking Contest and Pageant Postponed Until August. Hot Air Balloon Rally and Ice Cream Freeze-off Cancelled for 2020.

The Hopkins County Dairy Festival has announced that this year’s event will be postponed until August.

Contestants will participate in the Milking Contest on August 2nd in the Civic Center Equine Pavilion. On August 8th, the parade will start at 9 am then the Contestants’ Pageant will be at 7 pm at the SSHS Auditorium. The Hot Air Balloon Rally and Ice Cream Freeze-off will not be held this year. 

The Dairy Festival said, “Though we are sad to not have all of the events we enjoy during the Dairy Festival, we are excited to still be able to enjoy the milking contest, parade, and pageant. All events are pending according to mandates set out by our local and state governments. We hope to see everyone in August!”
