From Northeast Texas Child Advocacy Center:

Child abuse does not rest nor does it discriminate. No matter your gender, age, race, religion or economic status, No Child Is Immune! Abuse is not choosy about who it affects and everyone knows someone who has been affected.

With the added stress of the Covid-19 pandemic, we can expect a rise in child abuse. Child Advocacy Centers have been declared essential personnel by the Governor of the State of Texas. The Northeast Texas Child Advocacy Center is proud to be part of an integral team in the first response to child abuse. We stand ready to serve the children and families throughout the counties of Camp, Delta, Franklin, Hopkins, Rains, Titus, Upshur and Wood.

The mission of the Northeast Texas Child Advocacy Center is “Breaking the Cycle of Abuse, One Child at a Time”. This mission, with community support is accomplished through the commitment of a cooperative partnership of law enforcement, legal services, child protective services, medical services, therapeutic care providers, the community and other agencies involved in child abuse cases. NETCAC provides a safe space for children 2-17 years, to have a voice, to tell of their experience to a trained forensic interviewer. Since March 5th, 1998 over 9,300 voices have been heard!

For the past 22 years the Northeast Texas Child Advocacy Center has been on a mission, working together with a Multi-Disciplinary team of dedicated individuals, with one focus in mind… reducing trauma, striving for justice and giving a voice to the most vulnerable: the child victims of abuse! Statistics show that 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys will be sexually abused by their 18th birthday and that almost 98% know their abuser. Perpetrators can be anyone and not only groom the child and the family, but entire communities.

NETCAC, a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency, provides many services for children and non-offending family members, as well as, countless hours of education and support for many other victims through our ever expanding service programs. Everything NETCAC offers is free of charge. This would not be possible without the continued support and generosity of our communities.

As a nonprofit, NETCAC relies heavily on fundraising, awareness events and general giving. NETCAC is partnering with East Texas Giving Day, Give Where You Live campaign.  Contributions can be made, from now until April 28th, through our website www.netcac.org. YOUR SUPPORT IS NEEDED NOW MORE THAN EVER.

NETCAC is truly grateful for all who have been on this 22-year mission with us and hope you will continue with your support in our efforts to reach EVERY CHILD with EVERY SERVICE through EVERY EFFORT!   Together we can fulfill our mission of “Breaking the Cycle of Abuse, One Child at a Time”
