Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office Apprehends Burglary Suspects After Short Manhunt

Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men yesterday after they were discovered trying to burglarize a building. The men were captured after a short manhunt near Brashear.

Bobby Daniel Faulkner of Wills Point and Cash Allen Price of Garland were discovered by a property owner while they were attempting to break into a building. They attempted to leave in a van once they were discovered but the property owner rammed the van with his vehicle causing it the van get stuck. Faulkner and Price then fled into a wooded area.

Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident and established a perimeter around the area. A Texas Department of Corrections K9 Unit was contacted and arrived at the scene to assist officers.

Faulkner was ran up a tree by the K9 unit during the search and taken into custody. Price was later found walking in the area and taken into custody.

Both men were charged with Burglary of a Building, Theft of Property/Precious Metal, Possession of a Criminal Instrument, and Possession of Identifying Information. Price was also charged with Violation of Parole. Both are currently held at Hopkins County Jail.

Hopkins County Sheriff Lewis Tatum thanked Hunt County law enforcement and TDCJ for their help in the search and apprehension of the culprits.
