Sulphur Springs’ Brandon Williams has been named as the 2020 Alumni Ambassador for the Department of Marketing and Business Analytics at Texas A&M Commerce.

Williams graduated from A&M-Commerce in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration–marketing. As a student, he served as an orientation leader, a member of the Student Government Association and a Kappa Alpha Order member.

Since graduation, Brandon has spent 19 years in management and banking. He currently serves as a senior vice president of lending at Guaranty Bank & Trust in Sulphur Springs. He and his wife are also the owners of Water Oak Elementary School, a private Christian school that has served Hopkins County since 1980.

Brandon is passionate about volunteering in his community. He has volunteered in various capacities throughout the years, including president and campaign chair of Hopkins County United Way; president of Sulphur Springs Rotary Club; First United Methodist Church board of trustees; A&M-Commerce Department of Economics and Finance Advisory Council; Sulphur Springs Leadership Class president; and Lake Country CASA board of directors.

Brandon’s wife, Lesley, is a fellow A&M-Commerce alumna. They have two daughters, Merrin (15) and Anna (14), as well as two dogs, Tootsie and Ellie.
