The 2020 NorthEast Texas Livestock Association Junior Market Livestock Show kicked off today with the annual Buyers Luncheon at First Baptist Church. Buyers in attendance enjoyed a prime rib lunch served by Hopkins County FFA and 4H members.

Sulphur Springs FFA President Savannah Allen spoke to buyers about how NETLA and the Junior Market Livestock Show about her life in a positive way. She said her favorite part about the Junior Market Livestock Show is seeing her friends get involved and grow their knowledge. Allen also expressed appreciation for the buyers and their support of local FFA and 4H students.

North Hopkins FFA President Madison Joslin spoke to buyers after Allen. Joslin spoke about how the Junior Market Livestock Show has taught her about setting goals and achieving them. She also spoke about learning how to handle adversity with kindness and trying to have a positive impact on the people around you.

NETLA board members and 2019 Grand Champion project buyers were recognized before the speaking program ended.

The NETLA Junior Market Livestock Show continues on Friday with the Broiler, Swine, Steer and Heifer shows. The Sale of Champions begins on Saturday at 1 pm. The Ag Workers Stew and Chili will be served before the sale at noon.
