18 Year Old Sulphur Springs Man Arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon After Threatening Family Members with Knife

Communications advised HCSO deputies of a subject threatening to kill himself and his family at approximately 7 pm yesterday evening. Deputies arrived at the residence on FM 1536 and spoke with family members regarding the incident. They advised that the suspect, 18 year old Brayden Lynn Brown, arrived at the residence and attempted to gain entry to the house.

They alleged that Brown had kicked, punched, and stabbed the front door of the residence. He then reportedly left the residence before returning. Upon returning Brown allegedly started causing damage in the residence. A physical altercation then occurred and Brown allegedly threatened to kill his family with a knife. Family members disarmed him as he attempted to unsheathe a knife on his waistband and took him outside. Brown fled the residence but was located by a neighbor.

Brown was taken into custody and transported to Hopkins County Jail. He is charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon-Family Violence.
