Three SSHS Art Students Chosen for Featured 2020 Texas Visual Arts Association High School Art Competition

This past weekend about one hundred works of art were selected from all across North Texas for the 2020 Texas Visual Arts Association High School Art Competition. Three SSHS Art students had 6 works accepted over the weekend. Callie Harvey – 3 artworks (color pencil and acrylic of dogs and horse), Abby Scott – 2 portrait paintings and Kennedy Lee – 1 graphite drawing of hands.

The artwork itself will be on display from March 3rd to March 21st at the University of Texas at Dallas SP/N gallery (info here). There will be a closing reception and award ceremony on Sunday, March 22nd from 2:30 to 4pm. This exhibition features some of the best high school art the region has to offer.
