UT-Tyler Freshman and Sulphur Springs Native Eli Sellers Competes in 800m at the Lone Star Conference Championship

UT-Tyler Freshman and Sulphur Springs native Eli Sellers,son of John and Kim Sellers, competed at the Lone Star Conference indoor track and field championships in Lubbock yesterday.

Sellers qualified to compete in the 800m race at the conference competition. He recorded a personal best time of 1:58.85 in the race and was just four seconds short of qualifying for the final.

Sellers was one of only five freshmen to qualify for the 800m race at the event.
