Genesis 13:15-17
15 for all the land that you see I will give to you and to your offspring forever. 16 I will make your offspring as the dust of the earth, so that if one can count the dust of the earth, your offspring also can be counted. 17 Arise, walk through the length and the breadth of the land, for I will give it to you.”

In an effort to dodge taking responsibility for the lack of vision or movement in their lives, people will say that they’re waiting on God to do something. This, in fact, cannot be possible because God has already built a destiny into each and every person who has ever walked the earth. The breakdown occurs when through ignorance or simple rebelliousness people stop listening to and seeking Him. After Abram did what he had to do to position himself to hear from the Lord, God began to reveal Himself and His plans. It wasn’t a matter of how much God wanted to give Abram, it was a matter of how far Abram could see and how far he was willing to walk. You see, the plans of God are never hindered by God as much as they are not received by those who claim to follow Him. Instead of sitting back and waiting for God to move, you must ask Him where He wants to move you. While your life may not currently be in place that you feel is conducive to what He may show you, you can still start making choices that line up with it. Ask Him to help your lack of vision and faith and start listening for what He will speak. Write down what you feel like He’s telling you and ask Him to confirm it. If you’re married, do this together with your spouse as He will never tell you something that doesn’t include or involve them. Just like when he promised Abram offspring, this obviously wasn’t going to happen without his wife’s involvement. You’re only hindered by how far you can see and how far you’re willing to go. When you begin hearing from Him your faith will begin to see what He’s been wanting to show you all along. Stop waiting on Him to give you His plans, His plans are waiting on you. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff
