Hopkins County Extension Office Offering New Landowner/Small Acreage Education Series Starting March 3, 2020

As new residents and potential new landowners move into Hopkins County, there are many questions related to our community, our economy and our landscape. With the purpose of providing educational opportunity the Hopkins County Extension Office is offering a comprehensive series with topics related to new landowners and small landowners (Pond management, livestock, beekeeping, vegetable gardening, back yard poultry and others) the series is distributed in 5 -1 hour long monthly sessions.

The series starts March 3, 2020 at the Hopkins County Extension Office located at 1200B Houston Street in Sulphur Springs at 6:00 PM. The first topic of the series called “Welcome to Hopkins County” will include a description of the structure of the county, component of the organizational structure of the county, weather, soil and details specific to Hopkins County. County officers will be available. The cost of the series is $20 for individuals and $25 for couples. Register by calling the Hopkins County Extension Office at 903-885-3443. Drinks will be provided.
