Ephesians 4:22-24
22 Put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24 and put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
Truth vs. feelings…It’s a daily battle that every believer has to fight. It is vital that you train yourself to allow the truth of God’s Word dictate the way you feel as opposed to letting your feelings determine how true the Word is. The Word of God is perfect. The Bible actually says that all creation is held together by the Word of His power. If one word ever uttered by God became untrue then the very creative power that comes from His mouth would be nullified and all creation would cease to exist. The same is true in your life, if you allow your feelings to be the judge of how true His Word is then your life will be in shambles. Instead, when you wake up in the morning, in spite of how you feel physically, emotionally, or even spiritually, you need to remind yourself the you have been placed in a position of righteousness and the He is the process of perfecting you. You and you alone determine how the truth of God’s Word will impact your life. God has never and will never lie to you or about you. Make a daily decision to live according to the Truth that never changes rather than according to your feelings that are unstable at best. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff
