Funeral services for Mary Jo Beck, age 93, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 6, 2020 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Shane Carrington officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery North with Brandon Beck, Jarred Beck, Jeff Beck, Sam Johnson, Keith Maddox, and Darin Petty serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, January 5, 2020 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Mary Jo passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020 at her residence.

She was born on June 3, 1926 in Brashear, the daughter of James Frank and Vera Mae Morris Baxter. She was a homemaker and a member of Southside Church of Christ. She married James Julius Beck on October 4, 1958 in Brashear. He preceded her in death in 2011. She is survived by sons, Jimmy Ray Beck and wife Peggy, Bobby Lee Beck and wife Dalyn, and Tommy Deryle Beck, all of Sulphur Springs, brothers, Elton Baxter of Greenville, Max Baxter and wife Sherry of Sulphur Springs, sister, Pansy Yankee of Irving, grandchildren, Brandon Beck and wife Christina, Jarred Beck and wife Ashley, Jeff Beck and wife Nicole, step-grandchild, Shaunda Williams and husband Shane, great-grandchildren, Hope and Braydon Beck, Jase Beck, and step-great-grandchildren, Heidi Hague and Mylee Williams. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Woodrow Baxter, James William Baxter, and sisters, Lola Hickman, Glenna Rose Baxter, Jewel Loafman, and Pauline Barnes.
