2 Corinthians 9:10
He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness.

When you get paid, or are blessed financially in any way, what is the first thing that you do? Do you start making plans for what you’re going spend it on or what bills you’re going to pay? Or, do you bring before the Lord with and attitude of gratefulness and ask Him how He would like you to use it? You see, according to today’s Scripture reference, God gives seed and bread. Seed being what is intended for sowing back into the Kingdom and bread being what He has given you to live on. Most people tend to place more value on bread than seed because their focus is only on the here and now. But, if they looked at seed from the proper perspective, from the perspective of potential and the principle of sowing and reaping, they would be far more enthusiastic when God told them to sow it. A wise farmer, after bringing in a harvest, always took the seed out before the portion he needed to live on. This is because he knew that his future livelihood hinged upon the amount of seed he would have available to plant when the next season rolled around. On the other hand, a foolish farmer would devour most of the harvest resulting in an even smaller harvest the next year. Eventually he would end up with nothing because he would have eaten everything that he should have set aside to plant. Having faith in God means that when He asks you to give, He is doing so with your future in mind. If you’ll obey, He will be able to increase what comes back to you in the future. God never asks you to give with the intent of making you live on less or to make you struggle. He is always looking for an avenue through which He can bring a greater harvest into your life. Make it a common practice to bring everything your blessed with before the Lord and follow His leading on what to do with it. Your obedience will open the door to increase for you and the Kingdom. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff
