If you’re like every other person on the planet, you have been through times of struggle and difficulty. Whether it be a financial crisis, an unexpected illness, the tragic loss of a loved one, or anything other crisis, the question, “Why?” is always sure to come up. The truth of the matter is that sometimes there isn’t a reason why something happens. The fact is that we live in an imperfect world, full of imperfect people, who live imperfect lives, resulting in imperfect occurrences. Allowing yourself to get caught up in the ‘why’s’ will only lead you into confusion, frustration and ultimately bitterness. The struggle is this, your feelings want a reason, but God is trying to give you a revelation. If you’ll allow Him to, the Holy Spirit will give you revelation in your circumstance, which will help you come through it, having been made stronger because of it. You must, in order to overcome, take your eyes off of the temporary things going on around you and put them on the eternal things that God is trying to show you. Think about it, if there was a ‘reason’ for what you went through, knowing that reason in all likelihood wouldn’t give you the closure that you’re seeking because you probably wouldn’t like the reason anyway. Are you struggling with some ‘why’s’ in your life? If so, change what you’re asking God from, “Why did this, or is this, happening?”, to “Father, please give me a revelation of how you can use this to bring about some kind of good in my life or the lives of those around me.” What He reveals to you will bring you out of the realm of emotion and into the realm of faith where your healing can take place. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff
