From Sulphur Springs Senior Citizens Center Director Karon Weatherman:

The first Monthly Parkinson’s Support group was held on Tuesday, August 20th at the Sulphur Springs Senior Citizens Center. We had a great group show up to learn more about Parkinson’s and how to cope with the Disease. Rebekah Aulbaugh and Dawn Looney with Rehab Solutions gave several demonstrations on the kinds of Therapy and Exercises that people with Parkinson’s should do to help them with their daily tasks dealing with Parkinson’s Disease. Jennifer Scroggins with Angel’s Care Home Health was there to pass out information about their Parkinson’s Management Program and to provide Coke Floats for everyone.
There will be a different topic and speaker there every month to bring more insight on this disease. If you know someone who is suffering with Parkinson’s Disease please send them to the Senior Citizens Center on the 3rd Tuesday of Each Month at 11:30 AM.
