2 Corinthians 5:21
For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

It really, truly was the ‘the great exchange’. When your Savior came to Earth to encounter and defeated the sin that kept you in bondage to the enemy. Everything that you lacked, He fulfilled. Every area in which you fell short, He closed the gap. Every weakness and failure that you could identify with, He overcame. Everything in your life that qualified you to be unrighteous, He took upon Himself freely so that you could take His righteousness upon yourself. Although it was the final defeating blow, it wasn’t just His death that conquered your sin. It was His daily life in which He allowed His righteous character to keep Him from falling to every temptation that might try to cause Him to stumble. He chose to live victoriously, not just to prove how good He was but to defeat sin on every front so that you could be empowered to do the same. After doing so for 33 years, He laid down His life in exchange for your’s, carrying your sin to the grave and leaving it there. You see, that selfishness, that anger, that lust, that pride, that jealousy, that fear, are no longer your’s. He took them from you and destroyed their power over your life so that you could take His righteousness upon yourself. It’s time, if you haven’t already, to allow that empowering righteous nature to be your identity, not the issues that may have plagued you in the past. You are the righteousness of God. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff

SUNDAY! SUNDAY! SUNDAY! We are five days away! This Sunday, August 25th at 10am, is Super Sunday at TWBC. We will gather for one amazing worship service at the Sulphur Springs High School Auditorium followed by a time of food, fun and games, and lots of fellowship. This is the one time each year that we can all gather in one service and see everyone all together at one time. You don’t want to miss what God is going to do as we celebrate 20 years of ministry and launch into the next 20. We look forward to seeing you there.
