Joshua 14:7-8
7 I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the Lord sent me from Kadesh-barnea to spy out the land, and I brought him word again as it was in my heart. 8 But my brothers who went up with me made the heart of the people melt; yet I wholly followed the Lord my God.

What do you like to talk to God about? What is it that fills the majority of your conversations? Do you have a constructive dialogue about the things that He wants to do with you and the promises He’s made, or is your idea of talking to Him you listing off all of your worries and gripes? For many people prayer is not really prayer at all but a wish list of wants and needs with no opportunity for God to provide any feedback. In today’s text, Caleb, came back from viewing the Promised Land with a confident excitement knowing that the Lord could fulfill what He’d promised. His faith made it evident that he had sought the Lord and received His point of view where the majority had not. He chose to put more weight on what the Lord had said than on the size of what he saw in front of him. In fact, what he and Joshua saw as a promise the others saw as an obstacle. In the end, Caleb and Joshua were the only ones who got to experience this promise come to pass. Has the Lord shown you something so big that it scares you? Have you had a conversation with Him about it? Or have you just complained about how it seems to be to big for you to achieve? If you’’ take the time to allow Him to speak, not only will He get you past your current issues and problems, but He’ll start leading you into the greater things that He has in store. – Love and Blessings, Pastor Jeff

Simple Saturday is coming July 13th. Simple Saturday is just that…simple. We are gong to show you how simple is to be a blessing to those in our community. We are going to meet from 11am to 1pm at various locations throughout our area and grill hotdogs to give away…and that’s it! You will see how very easy it is put a smile on someone’s face by simply blessing them with something practical. No preaching or trying to force anything on anyone, just a smile, a ‘God Bless You’ and a hotdog. Make plans to be a part of Simple Saturday. Sign up with the TWBC START TEAM at either Sunday morning service.
