John 2:1-2
On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus also was invited to the wedding with his disciples.
Mary and Jesus were both invited to the wedding, from personal experience I know that when you invite someone to a wedding you desire their involvement in said wedding. Their involvement however is not to serve, you don’t invite someone to a wedding and ask them to setup chairs and clean their table once their done, NO, you invite them because you want to celebrate with them on what is going to be a monumental moment in your life. My question for you is when you invite Jesus into your life are you always asking him to do certain tasks or fix certain things all the time, or are you inviting Jesus in on the good times as well as the bad? Our good Father wants to be apart of every aspect of our life not just the good, or the bad!
