Mark 11:22
And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God”.
Philippians 1:6
And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
How confident are you in your future? Do you look at this new year with optimism and expectancy or with doubt and anxiety? While it’s true that no one knows what the future holds, you are in a covenant relationship with the One who holds the future. Many people are afraid to ‘get their hopes up’ when it comes to expecting the things they are believing for to come to pass. They don’t want to be let down like they may have been in the past. The problem lies in the fact that people, somewhat unknowingly, begin placing their faith in the things they are expecting rather than placing it in God, the One who can bring those things to pass. You should always be able to smile confidently when you think of your future because your faith is not in the future it’s in Him. The same God who has brought you this far has no plans to stop now. Spend some time discussing your hopes and dreams with Him today. Your future is in good hands when you place it in God’s.
