The Lady Eagles traveled to Big Sandy last week and over the weekend for a tournament. They ended up with only 1 loss to Big Sandy on Thursday. They went 3-1 overall in the tournament and came home with the championship. This brings the overall record to 7-6.

“I couldn’t be more proud of my girls this weekend. It’s unheard of for Como-Pickton Lady Eagle basketball to come home with a championship but we did just that this weekend. We are finally starting to figure out what it takes to win ball games. Now, if we can just put a full 4 quarters together. We’ve been struggling with consistency but I’m hoping this weekend has given us a little confidence to help with progressing with this 3 game winning streak. My kids were beat up all weekend long and chose to never give up. That says a lot about where this team is going compared to what it has been in the past.”, said Coach Brandi Crouch.
Thursday Game- Big Sandy won
Friday Game- Cumberland Academy- 16 CP- 31
Saturday Games- Waskom- 25 CP- 28
                              T.K. Gorman- 25 CP- 37
According to Coach Crouch, “Everyone played their role this weekend in getting the wins that we did. We had people step up and become more of an offensive threat and our effort on defense was phenomenal. We now just have to keep pushing to continue to get better as District starts soon. We are making progress day by day and it’s slowly starting to pay off.”
The Lady Eagles travel to Wolfe City on Tuesday and then play Quitman at home on Friday of this week.
